I can’t take away all the uncertainty of birth. But I can:

  • Teach you to advocate for yourself 

  • Give you tools to navigate the hard bits

  • Show you a birth road map and give you an idea of what to expect, even if your journey is as unique as you are!

  • Location: Levee Collective

    Directions: Levee Collective is located in downtown Lexington at 607 North Limestone, next door to Al’s Bar. There is plenty of free street parking available on Limestone and 6th st. You can enter through the front door on Limestone or through the back gate on 6th St (between Back Roads Bakery and the small parking lot).

    Choices and Interventions

    • Pregnant people and their support person.

    • Birthing people who are seeking a physiological birth.

    • Anyone wanting more than the bare minimum from their birth experience (healthy mom and healthy baby is a given).

    • Couples who want hands-on instruction to build out their birth plan and work together to bring their baby earth-side.

    • First time or subsequent parents wanting more info, hands-on tools and support going into childbirth.

    • Couples ready to go along with their provider without question or regard to evidence based practice or personal harm.

    • Those planning an immediate epidural or c-section (if you still think this class might be right for you, let’s have a chat! There is no right way to give birth , but this workshop is definitely geared toward preparing for an unmedicated birth).

  • We will be moving around and practicing labor positions and comfort measures. Dress comfortably for movement and sitting.

    Birthing parents may want to avoid wearing dresses or skirts.

  • No need to buy anything for class, but If you have it:

    • a journal or notebook and pens

    • pillow

  • Once you register I will email everything you need to be ready for class!

What’s Included:

  • Curated video tour and discussion of each stage of labor. This prepares you for what birth actually looks and feels like, with instructions on what you and your partner can do as labor progresses.

  • Hands on instructions for when and how to do hip squeezes, miles circuit, three balances and other comfort measures and labor positions. 

  • Practice using tools like a TENS machine, rebozo and peanut ball.

  • Access to my digital resource hub, including my “Giant list of Birth Choices”, RAINBOW decision making guide, spinning babies yoga video for optimizing baby’s position, three balances handout, and birth plan templates for home and hospital birth

  • Healthy organic coffee, tea and snacks

  • Access to me for questions during the workshop and after via text message or email.
